Why to Hire an LNC: Attorney Testimonials
GSAC-AALNC

 Introduction & Welcome

Welcome to the Greater Sacramento Area Chapter of the American Association of Legal Nurse Consultants (GSAC – AALNC). Founded in 1995, the chapter supports the mission and goals of the national organization, the American Association of Legal Nurse Consultants (AALNC), by promoting the professional advancement of registered nurses consulting within the legal arena through numerous educational and informational events.

The chapter serves as a resource not only for registered nurses practicing in the growing field of legal nurse consulting, but also for potential attorney clients. Through the chapter referral process, attorneys locate the consultant that matches their legal team’s needs. Attorneys save both time and money when they utilize a legal nurse consultant.

Legal Nurse Consultants apply their wealth of nursing knowledge in numerous ways to support cases with a medical component. A few examples of functions the Legal Nurse Consultant provides to the legal team include:

  • Analyzing complex medical records

  • Providing valuable reports and summaries

  • Locating or serving as expert witnesses

  • Researching medical issues

  • Development of Life Care Plans

Our chapter members appreciate the opportunity to network with their peers, while continuing to advance their knowledge in this relatively new field of advanced nursing practice. Current members come from diverse nursing backgrounds, and the majority of members have over 15 years of nursing experience! This not only lends support to other chapter members, but creates a forum for attorneys to locate a nurse with the skills to match the needs of their case.
